I am a self-diagnosed second generation flower child. The thought of being all natural or a hippy has been pushed upon me my entire life. See my mom grew up on the 70’s and had me later in life. Mom was the picked fro ,bell bottoms with flower power patches disco parties on Friday night, bra burning on Saturday morning kind if hippy. The kind of hippy that has to pass on her legacy. I am one of four children. My oldest sister is scared of the woods and if she ever tried to use nature to her advantage she most likely would end up trying to use poison ivy in a pulpous. I don’t think my mother even thought of teaching either of my brother her ways so that left me!
I was the one that accepted my mother odd parenting style. I love the fact that mom chooses to treat us with home remedies rather than modern medicine. I didn't get cold syrup for every stuffy and sore throat. I got honey and a steam bath. If I fell ;which was very frequently, I was taught to put flour on it  to stop the bleeding then comfrey and bees wax the make it heal faster. Honestly my mom is probably the reason I have such a high pain tolerance.

Her life style has made me different but I love and accept it. I know what I put in my body and how it will affect me. I am happier than most and I love the choices I have made thus far in my life. Many people find my life style weird because I don’t act like most my age. I dress like an old lady, I love being outside and running, and I don’t do anything that alters myself in anyway because I’m already happy

  1. I absolutely love you mom and all of the hippy things she does. I love your description of her in the first paragraph! I could not stop laughing.

  2. Hip, hip hooray you hippie! I love it. I don't think you dress like an old lady at all. And all that cool homeopathic medicine, that's right up Mr. Mo's alley. I'll have to have him read your blog.

Now proofread a bit more on this one Desi. You've got some grammah mistakes/ wording issues. And put in a pic of you and your mom or just your mom if you want!

    Thanks.
